Tuesdays for Tuesday

This Tuesday is full of great news. Tuesday is out of the PICU and in her new Oncology ward room. She is eating ( a banana, applesauce, and 60 cheerios yesterday for breakfast alone!) and watching tv with a smile on her face. She took a couple steps with the help of Mommy. She is taking wagon rides outside the hospital and playing with her siblings. Her brother Axel asked if he could give her a big hug or if he had to give her a little hug. Now if that doesn't put a smile on your face I don't know what will.  This has been a great week for her family. Of course she is still a very sick girl and has a long road ahead of her but all these little happenings keep reminding me that prayers are being answered and need to continue as much as they did before.  JK, Tuesdays mom, wrote a beautiful post on their blog. Please take the time to read it and leave her a prayer. We still have the fabulous Tuesday shirts and mugs and sweatshirts for sale (see the right column of my blog) and also we still need donations for Tuesday's fund. Remember, every $5.00 you donate puts you in the running to win that fabulous personalized portrait. Its a $400 value and could be yours for only $5.00. Oh yeah- and you will be helping a family that is the the midst of the fight of their lives. I can't think of a better use of $5.00....

The coming weeks are going to be filled with tests. Today Tuesday is having her bone marrow taken so they can harvest stem cells for her transplant later.  She may also have the bedsore on the back of her head (which is so deep it is down to her skull) cleaned out some depending on how things go. Poor baby. If it isn't one things its another. Please keep her in your prayers and ask for her to continue having strength during these painful procedures. God is listening.

Hope you are feeling better too.
I am just constantly amazed at the way God is working in Tuesday's life. Our lives are so much richer because of that precious little girl!
